Monthly To-Do Calendar

Fertilize roses and palm monthly.
January:
  • buy 2 organic sweet potatoes and stick them in the pantry to sprout
  • fertilize citrus at the end of the month or beginning of Feb
February:

  • mulch. 
  • Fertilize avocado. When the avocado blooms, spray it with a weak honey mixture in the morning and afternoon once a week to attract polinators.
  • start fertilizing rhoeo
  • prune hibiscus at end of month

March: establish coleus
       
April: gutters.
Jasmine is in bloom.
May:
  • pinch back chrysanthemum
  • fertilize citrus
  • fertilize day lilies
June
  • feed hibiscus w/fish emulsion
  • feed bougainvillea with epsom salts?
  • fertilize day lilies
  • weed, weed, weed
July. The rains finally came at the beginning of this month, so it's time to weed, weed, weed & then weed some more.  Also time to fertilize everything but the citrus.

  • fertilize citrus
December

  • cut back beautyberry; it only bears fruit on new wood.  DON'T fertilize.
  • cut back hibiscus.
